Nurse-practitioner-led aging-in-place care Support available from 1–24 hours a day

Private Duty Nursing

Skilled nursing care, delivered with the privacy and attention of home.

Our registered nurses and licensed practical nurses provide personalized clinical support for clients whose needs go beyond non-medical home care.

Nursing services are based on assessment, provider orders when required, clinical scope, and an approved plan of care.

Private Duty Nursing is skilled RN and LPN care arranged privately at home, often for longer or more flexible hours than a typical home-health episode. Support can include medication, wound and post-operative care, tube feeding, catheter and ostomy care, and nursing management of complex chronic illness — always within scope and the plan of care. A nurse and a Care Partner can work together from a shared plan.

Clinical care that fits real life

Bring skilled support home without losing the human connection.

Complex medical needs can make families feel as though home life must revolve around the diagnosis. Private-duty nursing helps manage skilled needs while respecting the client’s comfort, preferences, privacy, and daily rhythm.

We work with the client, family, prescribing provider, and other approved care partners to understand the orders, prepare the home, and create a clear nursing plan. We document the care provided and report meaningful changes or concerns.

One team as needs change

Nursing and daily support can work together.

Some clients need a nurse for a focused clinical visit and a Care Partner for personal care, meals, mobility, companionship, or overnight support. Our connected service model allows both parts of the plan to work toward the same goals.

This helps reduce gaps in communication and gives families one organization to call when needs change.

Questions families ask

Clear answers before you call.

What is private duty nursing versus home health?

Private duty nursing is skilled RN and LPN care arranged privately at home — often for longer or more flexible hours than a typical home-health episode. Home health is usually short-term and insurance-driven. We can explain which may fit after we hear what is happening.

Do you need a doctor’s order?

Nursing is planned around assessment, the provider’s orders when required, clinical scope, and an approved plan of care. Share recent discharge papers and current orders when you call.

Can a nurse and a Care Partner work together?

Yes. Some clients need a nurse for skilled tasks and a Care Partner for personal care, meals, mobility, or overnight support. Both work from a shared plan.

What skilled tasks can you support at home?

Medication support, wound and post-operative care, infusion and IV support when ordered, tube feeding, catheter and ostomy care, and nursing management of complex chronic illness — always within scope and the plan of care.

Can nursing be overnight or more than a few visits a week?

When assessment, orders, and availability support it, nursing hours can be arranged more flexibly than a typical home-health episode, including extended or overnight coverage as part of a private-duty plan.

How is this paid for?

Care is typically private-pay. Some families use long-term care insurance or veteran benefits. We do not bill Medicare for these home-care services. Call 630-300-0446 and the team will explain options — we do not quote prices until we understand the situation.

Which counties do you serve?

Cook, Will, DuPage, Grundy, Kendall, Kane, and LaSalle counties, from offices in Bolingbrook and Morris, Illinois.
